Zyber 12G Preview: What's New Compared to Zyber 8G-TinyChipHub

The Zyber 8G was our flagship. The Zyber 12G builds directly on the 8G architecture. We didn't throw away a proven design. We evolved it.

Discover What's New ? Same clean design. Same desk-friendly size. More chips, more current, more stress on the board. Triple VRMs, Per-chip Capacitors, and an 8-layer PCB...

In this article, Winston from TinyChipHub walks through the Zyber 12G — a 12-ASIC Home Miner built for up to 16 Th+/s at around 300 W. Let me show you what we improved — and why.

1、8-Layer PCB: The Data Highway

First, the 8-layer PCB Board. The Zyber 8G used a 6-layer PCB. The Zyber 12G moves to 8 layers. And no, it's not about having two extra layers just to look impressive on a spec sheet.

More layers means more lanes for data. When twelve BM1370 ASIC Chips are overclocking at high frequency, they need their own signal paths — otherwise they start interfering with each other. That's electromagnetic interference, the enemy of stable hashrate. Eight layers keeps those signals clean.

We also thickened the copper — current capacity up about 30%, so overclocking surges don't cause voltage dips. Eight layers of server-grade PCB and more copper — double the cost.

2、Triple Independent VRMs: No More Foreman

Now, Power Delivery. The Zyber 8G used two independent VRMs (What is VRM? Principle Explained). The Zyber 12G steps that up to Three VRMs.

Some Solo Miners use a Stacked Design — one controller shouting at a bunch of power stages. Like a foreman yelling at workers. If the foreman goes down, everyone stops.

We do it differently. Three Independent TPS chips. Each one is a complete VRM in one package — controller and MOSFETs integrated. Each has its own brain and muscles. They work together, share the load, and if one takes a break, the other two pick up instantly.

This is why our Multi-chip Miners stay small enough for your desk. Fewer components, shorter power paths, less heat, fewer things to go wrong.

3、TPS External Feed: No Self-Consumption

And we did something else to the TPS chips.

In a traditional design, a TPS chip generates its own internal power from the same input it's converting. Like a chef taking a bite out of every meal before serving it. Creates heat and wastes energy.

In the Zyber 12G, each TPS gets its own dedicated external power feed. So the chip no longer feeds itself from the output. Every watt goes straight to the ASICs.

Result? Less heat inside the TPS. Higher efficiency. Cooler overclocking.

We don't let our commanders eat the ammunition. Every bullet goes to the front line.

4、Per-Chip Capacitors: Every ASIC Gets Its Own Filter

Next, Capacitors. In the Zyber 12G, every single ASIC chip gets its own dedicated solid-state capacitor.

Your home's electricity isn't perfect. Air conditioners kick on. Voltage fluctuates. Those ripples can crash a miner or cause hashrate drops.

With a dedicated capacitor per chip, each ASIC gets its own personal filter — smoothing out spikes before they reach the silicon. No more sharing one pot. Each chip gets its own premium private chef.

TinyChipHub Team sweat every detail. We don't compromise on this.

5、Magnetic Mount & Bonus Fan

Now, A Small Bonus. Every Zyber 12G comes with a Magnetic Stand and a bonus 8010 12V 4-pin Bitaxe Fans for Cooling. Strong magnetic base, 360-degree adjustable arm. Stick it to any metal surface or set it on your desk.

For normal use, you don't really need it. But when overclocking, aim the fan at the hottest spot and give it a little extra airflow.

We also added a 12V 4-pin PWM fan header, so you don't need an external power supply for your fan.

We like thinking ahead for you — saving you hassle wherever we can.

6、Pre-Wired Mean Well PSU

And the Mean Well Power Supply.

The Zyber 12G ships with a Mean Well 450W Industrial-grade PSU. This thing is a tank.

But industrial PSUs are a wiring nightmare for beginners. Terminals, crimping, diagrams. Nobody wants an electrician's license just to plug in a ASIC Miner.

So we did the wiring for you. Fully pre-wired, protective base, built-in over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit protection. Just plug in and start mining.

No soldering iron. No multimeter. No fear.

So that's the Zyber 12G. More chips. More power. More engineering.

I'm Winston from TinyChipHub. Know your hardware. Mine smarter.

7、FAQs

Q1 Zyber 12G Vs. Zyber 8G: How Much More Hashrate?

The Zyber 12G features 12 BM1370 ASIC chips, delivering an overclocked hashrate of 16 Th/s+ with headroom for further tuning. It offers significantly higher performance than the Zyber 8G while maintaining the same compact desktop footprint.

Q2 Why Does Zyber 12G Use an 8-Layer PCB? +
The 8-layer server-grade PCB provides dedicated signal paths for all 12 ASICs during overclocking, drastically reducing EMI and preventing hashrate fluctuation. Thick copper traces boost current capacity by ~30% and prevent voltage droops under load.
Q3 What is Triple Independent VRM on Zyber 12G? +
Unlike the Zyber 8G’s dual VRM, the Zyber 12G utilizes three independent TPS chips. Each acts as a complete, integrated Controller + MOSFET VRM, ensuring superior power delivery stability for high-performance mining.
Q4 What Solo Miner Accessories Come with Zyber 12G? +
The package includes a 360° adjustable magnetic stand (for metal surfaces or desktops) and an 8010 12V 4-Pin Bitaxe cooling fan. The miner features a native 12V 4-Pin PWM header, requiring no external power for the fan.
Q5 Does Zyber 12G Require Manual Wiring? +
No. The Zyber 12G ships with a pre-wired Mean Well 450W industrial PSU. Housed in a protective case with over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protection, it is ready to mine straight out of the box.
