Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about TinyChipHub and our quiet, energy-efficient mini Bitcoin miners! From Bitaxe, Nerdqaxe, Zyber Solo Miners to setup, power consumption, and pool compatibility.

I. Know Brand 🏷️

Q1 Who is TinyChipHub? Where did it originate? +

TinyChipHub is a tech company integrating both development and manufacturing, focusing on desktop-grade home BTC solo mining rigs.

The brand was co-conceived by CTO/Engineer Aaron and Marketing Manager Winton during a late-night brainstorming session where they shared the same thought:

"Why isn't there a quiet, router-sized, easy-to-use desktop art piece made for Solo Mining?"
Thus, TinyChipHub was born—an integrated R&D, production, and sales tech brand with its own SMT production line, turning wild ideas into reality.
Q2 What does "TinyChipHub" stand for? +
Three words that reflect the core philosophy of founders Aaron & Winton:

Tiny: No more warehouse roars. TinyChipHub focuses on self-developed, mini ASIC miners that sit quietly on your desk.

Chip: Every ASIC chip is hand-screened—no assembly-line carelessness allowed.

Hub: Not a cold OEM factory, but a gathering place for DIY desktop solo miners worldwide.

Q3 What are TinyChipHub's core product lines? +
Currently, TinyChipHub features three major consumer-grade BTC solo miner series:
  • Bitaxe Series: Entry-level desktop miners based on open-source spirit—the best budget choice for beginners to experience Solo Mining.
  • Nerdqaxe Series: The pro series for hardcore players, balancing hashrate and modding fun—a staple on geek desks.
  • Zyber Series: TinyChipHub's original design. Instead of chasing raw numbers, it finds the sweet spot between performance and home usability, seamlessly paired with our custom ZyberOS.

📌 Beyond core miners, TinyChipHub extends to industrial miners, upgrade/replacement parts, and BTC-branded merch, creating a full loop of "Hardware + Accessories + Community."

Q4 Is TinyChipHub an OEM factory or a self-R&D DIY brand? +

TinyChipHub is a self-developed and self-produced tech brand, not an OEM or white-label reseller.

We control the full chain: chip selection, PCB design, assembly, and firmware tuning, backed by our own SMT line. Each unit is a hand-assembled DIY piece, undergoing an extra 24-hour burn-in test before shipping to ensure stability.

III. Common Product Issues 🔧

Q11 Can't find Wi-Fi / Can't access web UI? +
Our miners only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi; ensure router DHCP is enabled. Troubleshooting steps:
  1. First setup: Connect to device AP (usually Bitaxe_XXXX / Zyber_XXXX), then visit http://192.168.xx.xx to enter home Wi-Fi details.
  2. Can't find page after setup? Check router client list, check miner screen IP, or use ESP-IDF tool scan to find IP:
  3. Still stuck? Hold BOOT button 5 sec to reset Wi-Fi.
Q12 How to update or reflash firmware? +

Find official releases on our GitHub Page:

We strongly suggest reading our Upgrade & Flashing Guide first. Most failures occur during flashing; follow tutorials closely. Self-flashing faults void free warranty.

Q13 What is the warranty period? +
As a handmade DIY brand, we offer lifetime paid repair service after the 7-day window:
  1. Email tech@tinychiphub.com with order # + issue (attach miner logs if possible);
  2. We quote (chip/module cost + int'l shipping);
  3. Ship to designated address; we fix and send back.
Q14 Support needs logs for diagnosis. How to pull them? +
Simply log into Axe/Nerd/Zyber OS web UI, copy boot logs. Or no-code method:
  1. Connect miner data port to PC via Type-C cable;
  2. Copy/paste output or screenshot and send to tech@tinychiphub.com.
Q15 Body feels hot / Overheat restart warning?is it broken? +
It's not broken. BM137x ASICs & PMICs tolerate high temps safely. If overheating persists, try this first:
  1. Check intake isn't blocked by books/acrylic cases; keep airflow clear.
  2. Shipping vibration may loosen thermal pads/paste; gently press heatsink corners or replace thermal paste.
  3. If room temp >30°C, raise fan speed or disable overclocking in UI.
